Natasha Osterkorn sings in her program the songs of the Russian Gipsy people, partly in Russian and partly in the language of the Roma. Most of the pieces are traditional and are known to Europeans through film and other media. Her repertoire includes also many beautiful, albeit less well known, songs which are best ascribed to the Russian folk tradition. She also performs several of her own compositions. Two superb musicians with international reputations accompany the vocalist on the classic Gipsy instruments of guitar, violin, balalaika, and tambourine: Oljeg Matrosov (the musical leader of the band APPARATSCHIK) and Vadim Kulitckii (now with TALISMANN, previously LOYKO).
